Peru implements different actions in order to assist and guide national and foreign tourists in the different regions of the country. We work so cordial dialogue always remains as the best form of communication. Regarding some destinations of the country, we wish to inform that the operations in the airports of Puno (International Airport Inca Manco Capac) and Arequipa (Airport Alfredo Rodriguez Ballon) remained suspended for precaution.
In the rest of the airports nationwide, operations have been running normally. Nevertheless, only the passengers with scheduled flights can enter the airport terminals throughout the country, with the exception of people that required special assistant and/or minors.
Machupicchu
On the other hand, with the goal of ensure the care of our world heritage, but, especially, safeguard the integrity of the tourists, staff of the sanctuary and population in general, it’s been disposed the closing of Machupicchu since January 21 until further notice. According to the statement released by the Decentralized Directorate of Culture of Cusco, the measure also includes the Inca Trails. It’s important to mention that national and foreign tourists affected may use their tickets up to a month after peace is restored, or request the refound of the amount of their ticket.
